BPM projects / Uptown New Orleans

From the bathroom to the front steps.

These projects show three sides of BPM’s Uptown work: an interior bathroom renovation, changes to a home’s front and rear entries, and a renewed yard and courtyard.

A full bathroom renovation in Uptown

For a repeat customer in Uptown New Orleans, BPM completed a full bathroom renovation. The finished bathroom features a glass shower, a bold patterned feature wall, and a compact vanity.

The glass enclosure, patterned shower wall, and compact vanity give this room its character. Bring photos and priorities so we can discuss the layout, storage, and finishes that suit your routine.

A welcoming front porch and a backyard deck

BPM reframed the front of this Uptown home to create a raised porch, opened up the entry with sidelights, and updated the steps, railings, columns, trim, and decking. At the rear, a raised deck with Trex composite decking, metal posts and railings, and a fixed foundation created a place for outdoor living.

The front porch and rear deck belong to the same Uptown home. See the before-and-after photographs below to follow the changes at both entries.

Outdoor spaces

BPM refreshed the front yard with iron fencing and remote-operated rolling gates, concrete driveways and sidewalks with brick accents, and brick borders around the garden. An aggregate seating area with a brick border adds a place to enjoy the courtyard.

This work brought the fencing, gates, paving, and courtyard together. Share how you use your outdoor areas and which features you want to repair, retain, or change.

Before you begin

Consider the route through the home and outside it.

The raised porch and rear deck in our Uptown portfolio make access part of the project. The bathroom and courtyard show how smaller spaces can also benefit from a coordinated plan.

Talk through steps, entries, and access

For a porch or deck project, identify the doors and steps you use every day. Discuss the existing structure, railings, materials, and how people will enter and leave the home during the work.

Plan the bathroom around its users

Think about shower access, storage, vanity space, lighting, and ventilation together. If this is the only bathroom you can use, raise that early so temporary arrangements can be discussed.

Bring the exterior details together

Fencing, gates, paths, and a seating area can affect how the same yard works. Photos of the existing space and a clear list of priorities help distinguish repairs from new improvements.
